| It's due time, i suppose to return to the ol xanga and give it a checkup. um yeah. I just returned from Italy, was there for a week or so at a resort place with my family. it was located in Tuscany, an hour from Florence... and it was just beauuuutiful! i loved it, and everything about the culture and language ... yes yes yes! but i hated being a tourist! yuckkkkky! and at the resort place there was like 9 different pools. oh yeah. We visited Florence, Pisa, and Siena (Siena being my favorite) ... it had this huge square in the middle of its' city and every year all the different 9 (i think) neighborhoods have a horse race ... around it... CRAZY! and there was this super tall tower that my brother and I climbed and the view was this... except this isn't our picture obviously:
and this is the horse race:
quite formidable, i thought. so yes, it was a lovely time but i'm quite ready to be social again. | | |
| sort of... BASICALLY I played soccer today, and that was fun... AND you know how I play defense and everything... YES???? well i got to play center striker and I SCORED A GOAL at the very end of the game! it was SO exciting! I don't mean to brag. sorry. but for a defense player... you know ! So yeah and JSB was yesterday, that was ... okay. everyone looked great, the ordurves were superb dude. and... well, tournament next week, wednesday after school. No school thursday, not that that affects me. I'm not sure why I'm putting my calender on here for an update. AH WELL. Aunung | | |
| I just tried to burn up this little piece of paper over my trashcan... but it got too close to my fingers so i dropped it in the trashcan which was ... consequently, filled with other paper materials, so there's this huge fire inside a plastic bag which is melting onto my trashcan... and I'm running to the bathroom with it to put water over it, except the trashcan wouldn't fit under the water... and then my brother yells... smoke?? and I'm trying to save the plastic from smelling up the house ... it was a mess. but I told Tim not to worry and I sprayed this lemony stuff around. So it's all good... well , everything except my trashcan. Poubelle. Also, I was just thinking about the lovely topic of Staying in Touch (on a normal friend relationship, that is.) ... I'm trying to think why you should do it. or why not to do it. In some cases, it's completely necessary. (say if you're a missionary or something who needs support. . . you know the type.) and I guess the bible gives examples of it, like Paul for instance, and his letters to the Corinthians. but I just read this little quote that my brother happens to have on the bathroom walls for his revision... (supposedly his upcoming exams are a huge deal... big enough that he tapes all these pieces of info to the bathroom walls ... ) so anyway the quote says "Those who are gone are soon forgotten, Do you believe that?" -some guy from the story. And I suppose I do believe that... it really depends on the person, and how much they affected us. The more they affect us, the more things will remind us of them once they're gone. yes? But what do you gain from staying in touch... is that living in the past? but wait... if you don't stay in touch, would that be due to pure laziness? I realize it's not a big deal... that's just my curiosity, what do you think? Life is really such a gift. And so are people. I always wonder how all of you are, who I um... have failed to keep in touch with. Okay one last thing. My last "draw huge conclusions from one tiny answer that are often miscontrued" type question was ... what would you name your pet turtle, if you had one, that is? Anyway, I must say that was a huge success, but my latest one, is even better. yes. What is your reaction to licking the two outlet thingies on a 9 volt battery? | | |
| Erin has been here for the last week ... we've been doing the randomest things. Firstly, on Thursday my Dad booked us the earliest flight possible, so we got up at three and arrived here around ten... and had all day to do whatever. So we made a habitat for a frog that we could float down the river... but never found a frog to put in the habitat. Then we tried making smoothies and I put the pitcher in the freezer when we were done so it would cool quicker, but just as I was walking away from the freezer, the door opened and the pitcher fell on the floor and cracked. And all our wonderful smoothie splattered onto the floor. We decided it was too good to waste so we got spoons and started eating it off of the floor. mmmm. (that was a sigh in response to the memory of a heavenly smoothie) hm... oh yes. Saturday, we made a tent in my room and watched Kingdom of Heaven and played cranium ... it somehow works with two people... that was quite a lazy day I must admit. We were quite surprised to find it was dinner time when we finally ventured out ... Monday, we went into the city, Toulouse. We actually did normal things that day... like shopping. and eating. oh and on the way there, we took the train in, so we bought our tickets and got on the train and I suddenly remembered that we forgot to validate them.... hehe, i sort of started stressing out. Erin, of course, wasn't worried... so she calmed me down. but we got in without them checking out tickets, and we got back out. and for dinner we had Hungarian meat chunks. . . doesn't that just sound funny? AND YESTERDAY, the most exciting day of all. Erin and I were starting to run out of imaginations. but luckily for us, we finally had a camera. (i didn't bring one, and my mom's had been sent away to be repared, but yesterday, it arrived!!!) So we spent the day making videos. we made a whole series of Oscar. Dude, he is so mellow. But they're the funniest things, I'm telling you. At least Erin and I thought they were funny.
Doesn't that just look peaceful?

| As an update... i'll just hit the major things. Such as dying my hair, finishing my research paper, and playing soccer. again, I'm on JV, but it's ok, God's teaching me some things this year. and because i was reminiscing and looking through all my pictures, i'll just put a hodgepodge up... for kicks. (that means assortment by the way) Erin's not very photogenic
I saw her at the zoo. her hair is... remarkably big
that was at McDonalds... I quite like them
And that was for my birthday ... it had cancer
dorm spirit day... super heros! 4 of us did it. Autumn, the unphotographed one was some other random superhero. i'm not sure quite what...
That was a while ago during the Fete de la musique in Toulouse... we climbed on there then left and a bunch of other kids started getting in the fountain ... then they got in trouble
and this was in that one place in Southern France. encroyable.
